Servo Alarm Code Quick Reference for Filling Machines — E-016 Overload Is Most Common

Guangteng filling and topping-up machines are equipped with servo drives (mainly Xinje DS2 series). Below are the most common on-site alarm codes and recommended handling steps:

E-016: Overload (most common) — reduce speed, check for rotor jamming, clear material.

E-010: Position deviation too large — load too heavy or parameters incorrect; reduce speed / check mechanical components.

E-013 / E-014: Encoder wire broken / wiring error — check whether the encoder cable is loose or disconnected.

E-007: Overcurrent — check motor UVW wiring and for short circuits.

E-003 / E-004: Bus overvoltage / undervoltage — check supply voltage and regenerative resistor.

E-006: Module over-temperature — check cooling, fan operation, reduce load.

E-031: Motor code mismatch — reset the motor code.

When an alarm occurs, do not panic. Follow this sequence: 1. Power off and restart (investigate the cause first before resetting — do not simply clear the alarm); 2. Check if the rotor pump is jammed: turn the pump head by hand, check whether the material is too thick or there are foreign objects (for topping-up machines, the most common alarm is overload E-016); 3. Check if the encoder cable is loose (E-013 / E-014 type); 4. Read the current alarm code from the driver panel and match it to the exact remedy.

Note: Alarm codes differ slightly between DS2 / DS3 / DS5 series (e.g. DS5 position deviation is E-100, while DS2 is E-010).
